my last day of the semester at westwood was amazign i got to teach the kids about christmas and how the christmas tree became part of the christmas celebraton i read them a book which was awesome because they where so into it and twe were discussing the book:]
after that i told them the history of the christmas tree and we got to do an activity on it and then i had them write a letter to santa and draw what they want they were so enthusiastic about it:]

terrace
my day at terrace was wonderful, it was a great experience because i got to feel what a teacher goes thru everyday. And i got to teach a whole day interacting with kids and having fun trying to get to know them.
the curriculum i thaught was easy and fun there was alot of activities for them like coloring and they loved it. i learned a lot that day and i would defenetly do it all over again.

i would use http://mathplayground.com/ because theres games in there that helps them use logic, think faster and know how to react to it. Theres math, logic puzzles, and word problems they can use.
its learning and having fun at the same time. because children want to play all the time and when they think they're just playing thy're also practicing on their learning skills.

tachers can impact a childs development socially by communicating with the kids and have them do group work where they meet and get to know all the kids there so they can have a lot of friends. teachers can also impact the kids phisically by telling them to play outside wich would have them running and being healthy.

Day 6.
a conflict teachers always encounter is fights in school.
the best way to prevent that is by having alot of school involvement with the kids, having the parents involved at all times and keep them updated about the kids progress. once it gets to the level where kids get in fights the best thing to do is separate the kids have them calm down by talking things out and finding out what caused it. the police should get involved. and take it from there.
other conflicts might be an angry parent and for that type of situation you just have to calmly sit down and listen to what the parent has to say and then talk it out with them.

Blog #4 assignment.
Teachers are held to a higher level of accountability in our society because basically the future is in their hands. the children they are educating are one day going to be the leaders of this country and we want somebody that knows what they are doing also effective communication is key in an effective school because without communication nothing would be a ble to get done and if theres a problem with the teachers or students nobody would do anything about it the the problem will stay there for a long time which would prevent kids from focusing on their classes and learnig. The new rule that says "new teachers should have technology skills " is very important because as time goes by new inventions are comig out and its not easy, for example the "active board" its a new way that helps you teach and helps the student learn it has everything you need but if you dont have skills and you dont know how to use it how do you plan on teaching in an effective way?

Day 4 :)
my fourth day at west wood was amazing.
i was working with two little boys on their reading and i was reading a book to them.
then the teacher had me going around helping the kinds with anything they need and they would ask me to like help them color or cut it was so cute:]
then i had to take them to the restroom and they were running around they were so cute untill the teacher came out and started yelling at them..

My third day at westwood elem. was so much fun the teacher had me grading their homework and giving them stickers. after that they were mixing paint together to see what color comes out to be.. and they were laughing and having so much fun:]
